Multiple Intelligence Applications
The Atlantic Challenge provides an opportunity for students to interpret and present this component in a variety of formats. As a vehicle it offers interpretation across the MI spectrum and examples of application can be readily identified.
Poetry: Dramatic narrative with sound effects.
Map with legend: show the North Atlantic Theatre and the convoy routes.
Art gallery: interpret verse through painting.
TV program: present the poem as a wartime news program.
Song: the lyrics can be performed as a song.
Choral reading of The Atlantic Challenge; present a variety of versions. Will an all-girl presentation be different from an all-boy version or a mixed version?
Learning Centre: each verse presented with a specific focus.
Artifact collection: display of badges, caps, photographs, flags, books, personal items of veterans.
