The Atlantic Challenge

The Atlantic Challenge is a narrative poem designed to provide students with an innovative way to convey basic information about Canada's role in World War II's longest battle.

The poem lends itself to group research activities. Each of the five verses can be assigned to a small group as a research topic. The teams will then endeavor to produce a media presentation that will convey the information the verse has conveyed.

Students may be invited to produce the Atlantic Challenge as a song. This activity provides an opportunity to involve music as a vehicle to convey information.
